36 Weeks...Still Cookin'

I had my 36 week appointment this morning which was semi-uneventful. But I have felt like most of my appointments have been. But hey, rather "boring" checkups than issues or concerns. What she confirmed at the appointment...

  • I have gained a total of 27 lbs so far...I was hoping to keep the weight gain under 30 pounds total, so we will see if I can stay away from the french fries for the next month to make that happen.
  • He is head down...I feel relieved about that one!
  • No dilation happening yet (is that TMI?), I am going to go with no for a private blog, but I will not be putting anything about dilation as a status update on Facebook or Instagram, I will assure you that!
  • I am 50% effaced (which I had to google to figure out what that meant). Geeze, I need to brush up on my labor and delivery knowledge in the next few weeks!
  • Doc predicts that I will be delivering right around my due date...but you never can tell.
I keep having people tell me I am super high still and I need to start walking or swimming to get a little droppage going on. Swimming actually sounds great, it is the thought of actually getting ready to go swimming that is daunting. Heck, just rolling over to get out of bed some mornings is rough.

I have started getting up in the middle of the night to pee, not every night thankfully - and only once a night when I do.

Still no swelling which is GREAT! My wedding rings and shoes all still fit nicely. I do have heartburn though...Boo! No spaghetti or pizza for me these days.

Lately I have been craving things I am not supposed to eat/drink...Sushi, champagne, dr. pepper...I will admit there has been some champagne in my life, but I figure if I can have a glass of wine a night (which I don't do), I can have a Bellini or Mimosa here and there.

I only felt him have hiccups once during this pregnancy and then he got them on Friday night, and it was cool for Kirk to feel them. He has now had them everyday since, once or twice a day. It get's slightly annoying for me, but I assume it is way more annoying for him.

I have 2 more weeks of work (from the office), so I am looking forward to under 10 more days of commuting on that darn 405. I will then work from home until I pop this little man out. I am stressed about how my temp is going to do while I am out, but I need to just let it go. I have much more important things to be thinking about and preparing myself for...like what I am going to have for dinner ;)
