And just like that I am no longer a lady who lunches. Well, let's be honest...I never was that lady. Maybe when I am 50 I will have that life, but right now I want different things. I want adult conversation. I want to make new local friends. I want a Kitchen/Living Room/Dining Room remodel. So it's back to work I go.
I thought it was going to take me 4-6 months to find the right job. That I would have plenty of time to prepare and cuddle this little hamper playing monkey.
I was wrong. I applied for a job (the only job I sent in an application for) on Jan 3rd.
Two phone interviews and a 3-hour, six person interview stint at the corporate office and I was hired.
Making more than I was at CPK, great benefits, what seem to be great people and only a 6 mile commute.
Bittersweet to say the least!
This past week I have held him even when he doesn't need/want it. I have stared at him while he sleeps.
I have not been frustrated with his teething whines.

I have savored every meal time and every diaper change.
Every sweet smile, giggle and cry. I feel incredibly lucky and blessed that I was able to stay home with him for almost 9 months, which is so much more than some parents can swing.
