5 Years of Being Husbro + Wife

Back on Feb 23rd, Kirk and spent the weekend down in San Diego celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. We were originally going to head to Seattle for 3 or 4 days but decided to turn that one expensive trip into 2 smaller trips - the anniversary trip to SD and an upcoming babymoon in Vegas with the Wilson's and the Cherry's! It was such a great relaxing weekend and a great way to celebrate our last year as DINK's.

We stopped in at the local SD vespa shop where Stella picked out her namesake scooter.
We then dropped her off at her favorite place on the planet - Darrin & Dan's house so she could spend the weekend with Benny & Chester. We spent some time visiting, then headed for dinner at Cucina Urbana...where I ordered a fun lil' champagne cocktail with NO judgement from my waiter who obviously saw that I was preggo. Thank you faithful server, 20% tip for you!
We spent the next day eating...
...shopping, walking and taking a much needed nap before heading to our anniversary dinner at Oceanaire Seafood Room (which is where we celebrated our 1 year anniversary). They are so great there and even personalized our menus.
They also served us our complimentary anniversary dessert - Baked Alaska...it is "my" dessert...right Troy!? This one was made with homemade mint and chip ice cream and was SO good!
The next day we met up with Evan and Julie (Kirk went to college with Evan) for brunch and then headed to the San Diego Zoo. It was our first time at that zoo and it was pretty fun.

We saw lazy gorillas...
Super cool giraffes...
 Some scandalous kangaroos...
Took a ride on the Skyfari...
But! Nothing was better than my new favorite animal of all time...THE RED PANDA!!!
There are so many things I love about this animal...the lounging position, the relaxed nature...
...the soft furry awesomeness, that FACE! I am smitten!
We spent the rest of the afternoon and night walking around and having dinner at Coronado Island which was great. Perfect weather and not crowded at all.

Happy Anniversary to us!!! Maybe next year we will have an IPhone to take better self-pics with so we don't have fat-face! Only time will tell.
Oh...and when we got back to the house that night, Karis - Wendy and David had left this love on our driveway! Love them.
